eBay Final Value Fee Increase 2008

What kind of lower fees are these?

Come on eBay - sellers are not stupid. Sellers did not ask for an increase in fees.
The following chart represents the new Final Value Fee (FVF) to be charged on auction format listings starting February 20, 2008. Other selling formats have increased FVF as well but we only have auction type listing shown.
